In this time of great planetary change, a small group of dedicated women will spend a week in the wilderness of New Mexico, praying and fasting for themselves, their families and villages, and the Mother Earth. Dates for this event: June 6-13, 2009.
We will fast and pray in the old way, alone on the land for four days and nights, without food or ordinary comforts.
Prior to going out, we will gather together in ceremony, preparation, and support for each woman planning to fast.
Upon our return to basecamp, we will mirror each other's stories and support one another in returning to our homes with our gifts and visions.
We will gather in the beautiful San Mateo Mountains of Central New Mexico, a small and remote mountain range with much wildlife, and forests of Ponderosa, pinon, ancient oak and Alligator Juniper. This area is little used by hikers or campers.
